Spiced Hummus
I absolutely love making hummus because the homemade stuff taste infinitely better than anything from a store. (I will eat store-bought hummus too, don't worry!) It's super easy to make and is so versatile. Serve it with fresh veggies, spread it on a sandwich or in a pita, or just eat it by the spoonful.
*A note about the photo: I did not cook the food on that plate, as I have for all other photos on this website. I took that photo while at a Syrian restaurant in Morocco! The hummus there was unreal.

2 cans chickpeas
½ cup tahini
¼ cup good olive oil
2 large or 3 small cloves garlic
½ tsp whole cumin seeds
½ tsp paprika
¾ tsp salt
5 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Add all ingredients into a food processor and process until smooth. To serve, place in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika. Enjoy with fresh veggies, in a pita or a sandwich, or with crackers.
